Jazz & Salsa Logo
The Process
Edmonds community college jazz band needed a new logo to represent the inclusion of Salsa to the Band. They requested a 2-color design that could be printed on clothing or stickers. The challenge was to create a simple text-based logo that communicated both jazzy and salsa vibes in a playful engaging way. I experimented with different ways to arrange the text as it was the most important aspect of the logo. After taking inspirations from neon signs and musical instruments, I created a complimentary warm and cool color design to reflect the duel combination of jazz with salsa.
